ABOUT US
We are a space built for families in downtown Milford, Michigan. Our space is designed to help parents balance work and parenting. All parents deserve uninterrupted time to tackle their to-do lists—whether it’s work or planning your sister’s baby shower. Let’s be real: sometimes we just need a minute to ourselves to really focus and get all the things done.
At Work & Wonder, we are flexible and accessible so you can build a childcare schedule that works for you. We provide a space where your kids are cared for while you focus—guilt-free. Whether you need regular childcare or just a drop-in session, we’ve got you covered with a supportive community and a space designed for balancing it all.

WHAT WE ARE
A flexible and consistent child care service - come regularly (as a member) or as needed (drop-in)
“Gap care” (perfect for snow days, teacher in service days, sick babysitter, hurt grandparent, at-your-breaking-point-need-some-space-days)
A fun, supportive environment and community
A family based membership, meaning the membership rate is based on the number of kids and not tied to an adult. Any parent or grandparent or caretaker who is on file may come and utilize the space and services with the kiddos
WHAT WE ARE NOT
A licensed daycare. Our childcare providers work together with each parent to agree on a care plan for their child
Back up care when your child is sick. Our policy is flexible and you don’t pay for what you don’t use (if you reschedule with enough notice!). If you or the little ones are sick, please reschedule your reservation and come back when everyone is healthy
HEY THERE!
Nice to meet you! I am Caroline. Born and raised throughout Michigan, I moved to Milford in 2018 when my now husband, Nick, proposed. We’ve spent the last six years planting our roots in Milford. We got engaged on Main Street, bought our first home in the village, and have welcomed three sweet babies into our family.
I attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana (Go Belles!) and later pursued a Master in Social Work from University of Michigan and received my clinical social work license (LMSW). I’ve spent ten years of my professional career in the research world, working with teams studying everything from fetal alcohol syndrome, diabetes in Veterans and Black Men, to perinatal mental health challenges. My overall passion is to help moms to feel their best and well-supported.
I am lucky that my day job is flexible and hybrid with an extremely supportive boss, yet I still struggle with the perfect child care situation for me and my family. Full-time daycare wasn’t necessary and hiring a nanny was out of the budget. After each maternity leave I was pining for a solution of being able to work and stay close to my babies. Enter: Work & Wonder.
My youngest was eight weeks old when Work & Wonder was born. I spent the remainder of my maternity leave researching and learning the small business ropes. My hope is that Work & Wonder becomes the perfect space for you to find the work-life balance that works for your family— just like it has for mine!
Can’t wait for you to join us!
